Who We Are
Brevity Dance Company is a multi-genre, women led, dance collective that focuses on movement as a form of language and expression. We bring together dancers from a variety of backgrounds in movement to cultivate a diverse atmosphere that challenges our notions of the world around us.
In 2023 Hayley Duplantier and Hailey Regenbrecht founded Brevity Dance Company with the mutual goal of creating dance that would touch on the realities of our shared human experiences, from the bleak to the beautiful.
Mission Statement
Brevity is defined as conciseness of expression.
At Brevity Dance Company, we consider dance to be the most concise form of human expression. Using the universal language of movement, Brevity strives to illuminate the inner human experience.
Values
Brevity Dance Company values the natural human form, and strives for representation within our community of movers by diversifying our cast of dancers. Art is a reflection of the human experience and, thus, we believe it should represent the everyday human.
Movement is our means of expression. We believe that art is the purest form of human language and, through the art of movement, Brevity aims to reach diverse audiences from different backgrounds and experiences to bring people together.
